How will you be resilient in the face of COVID-19?

Here is our choice: We either let the pandemic shake our inner compass or we find our inner north. What do you choose?

I know this is a difficult choice because I am making it every day however I believe it can be achieved through community support and inner strength. Today I want to share with you five resources that are helping me navigate through these challenging times

1.Good News First!

I want to choose to focus on positive news articles every day. Yes, this has been possible for me through a simple email sign up to media outlet that has been filling my inbox each morning with an email consisting of good news from around the world.

I stumbled upon this media outlet while desperately searching for positive news and it has made my mornings much more optimistic. Visit this link to know more: https://goodnewsfirst.co/#rec8270610

2. We: A manifesto for women everywhere

My homeowner was intuitive enough to understand how difficult it has been for me to be an international student quarantined without my family in Canada. She offered me a book and made the world’s difference.

This book is helping me voiding negativity and relying on my inner self to be resilient. It connects me to a larger community of women that have been strengthened in facing similar challenges.

3. Goodnight with Dolly

I am a child at heart and I never wish to grow up. The familiar act of hearing bed-time stories is relaxing. One of the favourite country singers, Dolly Parton, has begun a YouTube channel to read bedtime stories for kids.

In case you think this may be a resource for your kids or you, follow the link into dreamland: https://youtu.be/3ia-ozHDaLs

4. Meditation

I have always complained about how I did not have the time to meditate. Now I’m taking action to change this. A variety of YouTube guided meditation videos help me on this journey. Oprah and Deepak Chopra have also offered free meditation for 21 days to us all

5. Science of Wellbeing- Yale University

One of Yale’s most popular courses is offered for free online. I have the time and I do not have to take a student loan to benefit from this program. This is an exciting new opportunity for me amidst a world of chaos.

I am excited to know of any resource that is guiding you.
